ADR 2017 Is Now Available for download | January 2017

ADR is the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road with the 2017 version released online by UNECE (The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe) this week.

The purpose of ADR is to ensure that dangerous goods, including clinical and other dangerous waste, can be carried freely by road and across international borders, as long as the goods, vehicles and its drivers comply with the provisions. ADR is updated every 2 years to account for evolving regulatory issues and technological advances.

ADR 2017 applicable from 1st January 2017 contains a number of significant revisions including new rules on packages containing lithium cells or batteries which are to be labelled/marked in accordance with new specifications and dimensions (Section 5.2.1.9 and Section 5.2.2.2.2)
