Acea says that there is a growing number of substances of very high concern (SVHCs) entering the REACH candidate list without these, such as a Chemical Abstract Service (Cas) or European Community (EC) number. This, it says, is making it difficult for the automotive industry to meet its communication and notification obligations, such as those under Article 33.
Candidate list entries without unique identifiers have come under group entries, where more than one substance is covered.
Acea’s list contains 385 substances with Cas numbers for the 171 candidate list entries.
